6th, 7th & 8th
It seems you might have missed us?
Well, seeing as you all asked so nicely (and believe us, we got asked a lot), Dart Music Festival is back for 2022. Thank you all for the love you have shown us since our forced absence, the support has been fantastic. So get your smartphone out, tell Alexa, or just write it in your Filofax (I know some of you have still got them) but however you do it, highlight the 6th,7th,8th of May as booked because we are storming back with a weekend that will mark the 25th year since our very first festival.
We have 3 days of completely free to attend music ready to go in venues all around the town. So if you want folk in a fort, choirs in a church, or blues at the bandstand we got it. With over 80 acts of every genre playing at multiple venues right in the heart of town (many of them outdoor), there is always something amazing to see and hear.
This site will help you navigate the town and festival. Please check out our ‘Eat Stay Shop’ page where you can see all the great places to visit in town. We believe very much that the town itself, and all it is has to offer, is our ‘Headline Act’, which is why it has to be looked after. We do not bring in outside catering or shopping stalls, so visit the lovely folk on that page. Your help for them means they can continue to help us.
You can also find sections on how and where to buy our brilliant DMF merchandise, how to become a ‘Festival Friend’, how the music festival Foundation continues the festival’s legacy throughout the year, and the story of how the very first Dart Music Festival came about all those years ago.
We are absolutely delighted that once again Bays Brewery have thrown their weight behind us. Not only are they our headline sponsor but look out for their reusable festival cups which feature a family portrait of DMF, Dartmouth Royal Regatta, and Dartmouth Food Festival logos. These drastically reduce waste and also make a great memento of the weekend. Like a cross between Cinderella and a fairy godmother, the brilliant Devon Contract Waste people will swoop up all the rubbish left behind and ensure that ZERO goes to landfill. ZERO TO LANDFILL is a remarkable solution to waste management and we are honoured to once again have their help. Read more about their innovative enterprise here. https://www.dcw.co.uk/about/zero-to-landfill/
A special thanks to Dartmouth Town Council for their amazing support. Here’s to the next 25 years.
As always we need your help. It costs over £80000 to put on this festival. Our ethos is and will always remain ,'Free Music For All' and there are a lot of people beavering away unpaid in the background to make this happen, but we can’t without you lovely people helping in any way you can. Sponsorship, donations, merch and wristband sales are all hugely important, as is buying the programme or our festival app. It’s only together that we can make this all happen.
If you feel you would like to donate your time we are always in need of volunteers to help our small band of hardy souls. If you are interested, please drop us an email to email@example.com
