More than just an ordinary Pink Floyd tribute band, The Darkside of Pink Floyd entertain audiences with a fantastic light show and passionate performances.
There are a number of Pink Floyd tribute acts worldwide – a casual browse of the Internet reveals more than 80 in the UK alone over the past five years – and most tend to focus on reproducing faithful renditions of the album versions of the classics. Not so The Darkside of Pink Floyd who are an established touring band dedicated to the accurate reproduction of the best Pink Floyd LIVE performances ranging from the critically acclaimed Pulse Tour (1993) to awesome individual tracks such as ‘Echoes’ taken from David Gilmour’s 2006 “On An Island” tour and ‘Mother’ from Roger Waters “The Wall” tour of 2010/2011.
The core members of the band have been in place for eight years and, individually, have performing credits stretching back to the 1970s. They are, without exception, masters of their craft and combine to generate a sound which has been described with words such as ‘identical’, ‘awesome’ and ‘authentic’.
Due to the demand for their exquisite reproduction of Pink Floyd’s classic music, The Darkside of Pink Floyd are a regular feature at major National music venues, festivals and theatres. They were also the first band to play a live public performance inside the prehistoric caves of the world famous Kents Cavern and they had a sell-out concert deep underground at Carnglaze Caverns as part of their highly acclaimed ‘Echoes of the Past’ tour.
