Aaaah – don’t they all look happy..?
Torbay Ukulele Club was set up by Dave and Linda in February 2009 as a fun meeting place for people who have an interest in playing the ukulele. They have both had a good background in music, both playing the guitar and electric bass as well as ukulele, and thought it would be fun to invite people of all ages and backgrounds, beginner or expert, and form a Ukulele Club.
The club is held at Brixham Rugby Club, meeting every week on Thursdays, at 7.30 pm. Beginners and seasoned players strum away to a broad range of music, from Abba to Johnny Cash – and have fun!
If you fancy checking out The Club (a ukulele can be provided on the night – for a ‘toe in the water’..!) or want to have a go yourself, please contact us at:
Please note: An in-depth knowledge of George Formby is not required…
We are delighted to welcome back Torbay Ukulele Club to Dart Music Festival again this year – full performance details in official DMF Programme: www.dartmusicfestival.co.uk
