Back from touring Europe with Martin Barre from Jethro Tull, Alex has been working on new material with some very talented musicians. She’s been lucky enough to work with the likes of Terry Britten (grammy award winner for Tina Turner’s ‘What’s Love Got To Do With It’) and currently spending time recording at State of the Ark studios in Richmond. Her new EP is out (For The Summer…) and features some amazing local musicians around the southwest.
Her live band consists of Josiah Manning on drums, Paddy Blight on lead guitar and Jake Galvin on bass and you can keep up to date with her gigs on her website.
Alex has been lucky enough to have played at some legendary venues including the Troubadour, Ronnie Scotts and many concert venues around Europe. In contrast to her own style of music, in the summer of 2013, she released a track with the talented DJ team ‘Electronic Youth’ and their cover of Angie Stone’s ‘I Wish I Didn’t Miss You’ went to no. 2 in the Music Week Club Charts and was played and supported by Pete Tong on Radio 1.
