Classical Duo Jade Gall and Gary Hawkins at Dart Music Festival


We are delighted to welcome Jade Gall back to the Music Festival, and also pianist Gary Hawkins who will be joining her this year.

Classical saxophonist Jade started her love for music at a young age as a flautist before venturing on to the tenor saxophone at the age of 13.

She studied at Dartington College of Arts where she gained a BA (hons) in Music (professional practice), and then continued her study at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama with classical saxophonists Lara James and Gerald McChrystal, graduating as a Master of Arts in music performance in 2013.

Jade returns to Dart Music Festival, this time with her new classical duo, which features Gary Hawkins on piano.

The duo will be performing an eclectic, exciting and easily accessible mix of repertoire showcasing works by British composers Philip Buttall, Rob Buckland,and Charlotte Harding, as well as well known classical favourites Telemann and Debussy.

They will also so performing the concert title piece ‘Meandering Impressions: A Love Poem’ which was composed by Marianne Filippi for Jade during their time at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama.
