Covid-19 announcement

Following recent Government announcements, amid the outbreak of the COVID 19 pandemic, the 2020 Dart Music Festival has been cancelled.

“Our hearts and thoughts go out to the people who have been affected by the unprecedented events of the Coronavirus outbreak, and we greatly appreciate the work of the medical, NHS and care workers, local communities, experts and advisors who are on the front line working to limit the impact of the epidemic.

We have been monitoring the COVID 19 situation, and as we recently shared, have taken advice based upon the facts and evidence presented by the UK Government, Chief Medical Officer, Public Health England and Chief Scientific Officer, and have continued to review when advice has changed.

Our number one priority is the safety and well-being of our community, attendees, performers, volunteers, contractors and visitors, together with everyone associated with the organisation of DMF. This is a unique position to be in and, as such, the way forward in the next few months is not clear. This is not the course of action we had hoped to take for our event, but in view of the recent Government measures introduced to help slow the spread of the virus, and in times of such uncertainty, this is now the only responsible option.

The next Dart Music Festival will take place on 7th, 8th and 9th May 2021. We will now work towards moving and securing as many contracts/performers for these dates as we can.

Over the coming days, we will work hard to engage with our “community”, all of our stakeholders, and our sponsors and supporters, seeking their ongoing support for future festivals, thus minimising our inevitable financial loss for 2020 as much as possible, and building for 2021.

We understand that, although not a total surprise, this confirmation will come as a huge disappointment, as it does to the DMF Crew. We thank you for your support thus far and really look forward to seeing you all in 2021.”
