The Kingsmen
The barbershop harmony chorus based in Kingsbridge in the lovely South Hams of Devon in the UK.

Barbershop is four-part acapella singing, which means they sing in close harmony, unaccompanied. Their aims as the Kingsmen are two fold: To enjoy their singing, as it what they do as a hobby, and to be committed to performing to the best of their ability in an entertaining manner.  From their singing they gain tremendous satisfaction, and also enjoy an unbelievably strong sense of comradeship considered quite unique. Their second aim follows naturally from the first – they want to share their enjoyment of that music, and perform so that their audiences appreciate their efforts.
The Kingsmen are very proud to have won a 10th place in the BABS National Convention held at Southport on the 26th of May this year, the highest placing they have ever had. With 39 choruses competing this was quite an achievement for their inclusive club. The Kingsmen were as usual under the direction of their founder and MD Roy Hann and were coached by gold medal coach Cindy Hansen from Denver Colorado leading up to this competition.
