Staircase Opera blew audiences away at the Dart Music Festival this year, and that was with just three of the opera company performing. On December 14th there will be six members of the company performing at a special Christmas joint fundraiser in the Flavel Arts Centre in Dartmouth.
The sound and incredible cohesive performances of the company are spell-bounding. For the last two years the audience at our festival have absolutely loved Staircase Opera, with their uplifting performances.
Every member is an experienced professional singer, who perform around the UK and Europe. This small, professional company, with their director Martin Harvey, have gained a growing reputation for its concerts of staged excerpts from the more main-stream and well-known operas. Be ready to be delighted with Christmas features scenes and arias from Puccini’s La Boheme, Johan Strauss’s Die Fledermaus, Mozart’s Magic Flute, Humperdinck’s Hansel and Gretel – and many others.
