Jake Martin is an energetic, charismatic singer/songwriter who blends punk and folk music, stories of the road, politics with a cheeky brand of cider fuelled humour. He has the ability to captivate and animate any room of strangers with memorable sing-a-long anthems, resulting in performances giving off an “every show could be the last” vibe.
Taking the plunge into a solo career in 2014 after fronting popular Brighton-based Skacore outfit The Junk for eight years, Jake is often likened to Gaz Brookfield, Frank Turner and Billy Bragg.
His full debut album ‘We Take Them At Dawn’ was released in March 2016 and was followed by a worldwide tour taking in Asia and Australia along the way. In August he returned to the UK for a mini England tour and a handful of festivals before heading out to to Europe before finishing the year with a full UK tour in November and December. Jake’s touring plans for 2017 include a stop at the Dart Music Festival.
