Devon based Kiera Osment has been compared to the likes of Lana Del Rey, Kate Bush and Tori Amos with a unique voice described as “honey soaked that startles and sparkles in equal measure”.
Kiera has had a passion for music from a young age, perhaps inspired by her mother blasting anything from Tom Waits to Blondie to Bjork while she was still in the womb. She started out playing piano at the age of six as well as playing other instruments such as the guitar and cello. However, songwriting is Kiera’s greatest joy, drawing on many experience from life and the world around her, enabling her to write poignant songs full of metaphors and puzzles. Singing wasn’t something she set out to do, but the written songs and poems had to be sung. The strength and emotion of Kiera’s voice came as a surprise, but is now a very important part of her musical identity.
In 2016, Kiera wrote, recorded, produced and mixed her own debut album, ‘Car Park Of Dead Dreams’, now available for digital download.
Playing live is something that Kiera does as much as she can, supporting the likes of Miles Hunt and Erica Nockalls, Clare Teal, Eleanor McEvoy, Edwina Hayes, Kast Off Kinks and Kevin Mark Trail.
