Happy New Year to everyone, and I hope you all had a good time over the festive period.
We are now just over 4 months away from the festival, and planning is well advanced. Some of you may have already seen that we have announced our headline act, Dodgy, and we are delighted they will be playing at the festival. The lineup is now completed, so watch this space for more information.
We have refreshed the branding for the festival for 2018 – you will start to see it on the website, our social media channels and merchandise. It was designed by local businessman Nick Shillabeer (thanks Nick) and reflects our wonderful town and the passion we have for music – I hope you like it.
As you know, this is a free to attend festival, and we need to raise as much money as we can each year to be able to run it. This year is certainly no exception, and our fundraising night on 24th February at the Guildhall sees “The Darkside of Pink Floyd” return to Dartmouth following their superb gig at the 2017 festival. Tickets are nearly sold out so don’t miss out – the final few are available from No 11 in Dartmouth.
We are hoping to have the 2018 merchandise available soon as well, and for you to be able to buy it in advance of May too – watch this space.
As always, we continue to look for willing volunteers to help us run the events – please let us know if you can help with collecting during the concerts, stewarding, running a venue, selling merchandise or generally mucking in – it’s all greatly appreciated!
