The Band of HM Royal Marines comes to town

We are very excited!

We’ve just heard that the Band of HM Royal Marines are making a special appearance at our 20th Anniversary Music Festival.

The Band of HM Royal Marines, Plymouth, based at HMS Raleigh in Torpoint, Cornwall, undertakes a wide variety of ceremonial work of national importance, as well as fulfilling its main role of providing music for the ships and establishments of the RN.

We are very fortunate indeed that the Band has agreed to perform at the Festival, and the have also offered to include the Sunset Ceremony in their programme – a not-to-be-missed experience.

The band performs in the knowledge that, wherever they appear they are welcomed by an appreciative audience that enjoys the sound and the spectacle for which the Bands of Her Majesty’s Royal Marines are famous throughout the world.

This will be a wonderful, lively family occasion – a rare chance to experience a traditional Military Concert Band with Corps of Drums concluding with the spectacular Sunset Ceremony.

Don’t miss this very special performance early evening on Friday at The Bandstand, Royal Avenue Gardens – it should be quite a spectacle!
