The Stone Angels

The Stone Angels are an Alternative-Rock duo from Torquay, Devon, UK. Founded in 2009 with various line up changes, the band now consists of original founding member Dan Hughes (Lead Vocals and Lead Guitar) and Sam McIver (Drums, Bass, and Synths).

Their first full album ‘Spirit, Love & Higher Meanings’ was released in mid-2016. It pulls on a lot of different genres and musical elements giving each song a fresh feeling and engaging the listener. There are catchy riffs, guitar solos, epic operatic riffs and catchy choruses and vocals. Reviewers have identified similarities with Lenny Kravitz, Royal Blood and Queens Of The Stone Age.

The Stone Angels supported GUN at the Fleece in Bristol on 14th October 2015 as part of their 25th anniversary tour which led to the band recording a live session for BBC Introducing in Devon in January 2016. The band has recently completed a national tour along with performing at the Looe Music Festival 2016 and several other festivals.
