We are really cranking up the pace with plans for the festival as it’s just over eight weeks away.
In this Update, we are pleased to introduce Emilie Heard and Simon Geen, the Contemporary Music Directors for the Festival.
I thought you might be interested to know how they pull this key element together and the huge amount of work it takes every year …. their story online
Similarly, in the next edition, we will hear from Paul Parsons, new to DMF, and organises the Classical Music Programme.
I was recently interviewed by WaterWaves Radio. The show covers its history playing some tracks from this year’s line-up – well worth a listen.
In March, we held two fundraising events – the choir concert at Saint Saviours Church, and a music quiz held at Platform 1 – a great time was had by all in the true spirit of the music festival – both a sell-out. More info here
We are finalising plans regarding Sponsorship, but there is still time for you to sign up online if you would like to sponsor us as a business or join us as a “Festival Friend”.
Finally, we are launching the NEW Dart Music Festival App very soon via this newsletter. There are many functions within the App showing all details of the programme with a few extra bits and pieces including directions to different venues around the town. More details to follow soon. Just to confirm, this does NOT replace the programme – it will complement the Programme and will cost the same – just £5.
