The Dart Music Festival has been staging fantastic musical weekends since 1997 for our town and community.
The entire event is run by volunteers and funded by generous sponsors and donations.
But the committee can’t run it without you! So if you love music, love being part of a team and want to be a part of what is the best festival in town (yes we are biased!) get in touch
You could help in so many ways…
Collector
absolutely vital to the festival, these amazing people hijack our amazing audiences with smiles and laughs …selling wristbands and programmes and taking donations at all our stages.
Commitment – shifts are a minimum of 1 hour but can be as open ended as you like (to be decided well in advance!). We need cover over the whole weekend, you tell us when you are available and how many shifts you’d like to do.. we’ll do the rest! You are welcome to grab a friend and collect together.
Manning tables
Some people prefer not to be wandering around to sell programmes and wristbands and take donations so we have handy tables that need to be manned over the entire festival. Also on the Thursday during the build.
Commitment – 2 hour shifts Thursday-Sunday, (to be decided well in advance!)
Announcers
We need announcers for most venues so if you have the gift of the gab and fancy meeting and introducing some of our lovely bands please email.
Commitment – 30 minutes per band you choose to introduce.
Venue assistants
Our venue managers are amazing but we always need more assistance for them! Jobs such as meeting the bands and helping them with all aspects of getting into their venues and their performance and helping the public with any of the varied things they need!
Commitment – negotiable depending on which venue you prefer
Hand delivering sponsor packs
Most of our wonderful sponsors are local to Dartmouth and the surrounding areas and to save the not inconsiderable postage costs we like to deliver them….we do need help with it though!
Commitment – Usually a morning or afternoon about 3-4 weeks before the festival
What are the perks? What’s in it for you?
Yes there are perks for our lovely volunteers. These are in the shape of free ice creams, beers, pasties and all sorts of goodies. Our sponsorship team is in the process of negotiating these but more information will be forthcoming!
There will also be a thank you party after the event.
But mostly it’s just being a small part of it all! You’ll get to meet lots of lovely people and, really importantly, be part of a team helping to ensure the success of the Music Festival which is so important for the town
